Greetings gentlemen, I am having some trouble finding a set of valve covers for the engine I'm building to put in my '85 SS. What I have is nothing fancy, just a 305, but I put full roller rockers on it and now the stock covers are too short. I am looking at the Edelbrock 4643 covers, but my dad says they don't seem to have a hole for the oil fill cap! I cannot seem to fine any other info about these covers, and all the tall style covers I find don't seem to have the oil fill hole either. Does anyone have any experience with these covers, or know of any that will work?

Thank you for your time.

After a little surfing on Summit's site, and finding no covers with a separate filler cap, I conclude that you are supposed to pull the breather out, stick a funnel in there an dump the oil through the baffle.

That's what I was thinking too. Thank you, Sir.

You can buy those Edelbrock valve covers and just cut a hole on the other end and install a modular oil fill cap, no welding required.
It seals with O-rings and has a allen set screw in the bottom piece to lock it in place.
I have these on two these of my engines and installed one on my buddy's 598 BBC and they all work well.
