NEED TO USE SHORT WATER PUMP ON BIG BLOCK

Has anyone used it on their Malibu? I'm looking to use a Mark VIII electrical fan, but with the long water pump and the Summit aluminum radiator I don't have enough clearance. So I need to use a short water pump. These are the two options I came up with. Any input will be greately appreciated.

Pre 1968 GM used a short nose water pump on their big blocks. Try finding one of them.
