Well, after getting the trans together and ready for install, I remembered that I have to add a console shift bracket for the cable on my 2004r. So I get a wrench to take off the nut that holds the shift selector on and it snaps like a twig...
So I load the trans back on the engine stand and flip it over to take off the pan. It seems simple enough to replace, but I am wondering where I will find this stud. And I cant seem to find a wrench that will fit the nut, smaller than a 5/8 and larger than 9/16 , .... any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!

The nut is metric I believe 15mm

Bill,
Check this place out. Hopefully they have what you need. I've never dealt with them. The site was posted by another member a while back.

Thanks...gonna try the dealer first, then maybe the local transmission shop...Dont really wanna pay 32.00 when I just need a stud bolt, but I may not have any choice...I do have a th400 sitting in the garage....maybe I could use the stud out of it?
