I cant find any wiring for my neutral safety switch and mainly I think because the original steering column had a column shifter and in mine it has a b&m aftermarket shifter, what should I do for wiring?
It’s a th350 transmission though not manualG bodies did not have electrical neutral safety switches, it was mechanical. The lock will not turn unless the shifter bowl is in neutral or park that's why the factory floor shift cars still had the linkage from the transmission to the column.
You will need to put the switch on your aftermarket shifter in series with the starter solenoid circuit. Remember the starter wire is 12Ga so it carries some decent current so you need to know what current carrying capability of the switches are, if they are too weak you will need a relay.
Attached is a wiring diagram, you will want to do something like the manual transmissions did electrically using a switch on the clutch pedal (yellow). Also you will need to connect the back up light switch too (red on the diagram)

no linkage nothing it’s an 81 steering column in a 79 and it just has a aftermarket b&m slap shifter going straight to the th350 automatic transmission, but in the original photo I showed it has the neutral safety switch on the shifter just not wired.Does your car have the linkage at the steering wheel going down to the transmission? The linkage should move the column bowl regardless if manual or automatic. What ElCAM is saying if the bowl isn't in park or N it key is locked up.
I thought his diagram was for manual, it showed wiring to clutch pedal, I need to find something for a th350Ok so I'm assuming your column had manually been put in park or N for the key to work... without the linkage.. if that's the case following the diagram and following ELCAMs suggestion so it works properly with the back up lights to do it right.
But nothing actually goes to the transmission itself, there’s 4 connection to the neutral safety switch and when you shift gears it sends a signal like a click to whatever is wired, my point is I get the concept I just need to know what to wire in like mainly for reverse lights and starter so you can’t start in gearI thought his diagram was for manual, it showed wiring to clutch pedal, I need to find something for a th350
Our cars will not have any wires going to a neutral safety switch for an automatic. As ELCAM stated, it'll be mechanical & mounted on the steering column towards the firewall. This will also have the back up light swtch intergraded in it too. As for the year of the column, it won't matter as '79 to '81 pretty much use the same column. This is what you need to look for on the column or buy if you don't have one which will require you to find the linkage for a 3 speed auto & possible the correct shifter arm on the transmission case for a floor shifter cable & column linkage.

For what wires needed for the back up lights, there is a light green (circuit #24) & dark blue (circuit #75) in a black flat connector. Use the diagram Elcam posted for your reference. I know most of this is redundant but tring to get all the info collected together. Now I'll address what the aftermarket shifters usally require, splicing in the switches if included. The neutral safety micro switch will need to be powered to the purple 12 gauge (metric 3.0 size) wire (circuit #6) to be ran to then back to the harness as will the back up light wires. At your current beginner skill level I would not suggest this but to reinstall the original column linkage which someone here may have a compete set up handy in their spare parts.
