I've owned at least 10 AMC cars, Javelins, Gremlin, Matador Coupe etc and was really good on knowing what parts interchanged, door handles, steering wheels, mirrors, seats, etc. etc.
Purchased a 79 Cutlass Calais Hurst Olds. Really straight car, no major back breaking work. I really need a circuit board. I know 78-80 is a 3 year only. Will any circuit board work for these years - even though mine has obviously the tac, rally gauges etc. Will any other GM Gbody car circuit boards work? It kind of pees me off because I'm close on finishing this car and this wasn't a problem I could foresee. Does anyone know who sells them? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Cory

What circuit board are you referring to?

Yeah the thin plastic piece that has the copper that overlays on the cluster that makes everything work.

I would say you have to get one specific to the instrument cluster. I have an 80 Firebird I'm thinking of replacing the circuit board because of some electrical issues, but the ones with the ralley gauges are different than the ones like I have that don't have the ralley gauges.

Any 78-88 gauge cluster flex circuit will work.
Are you sure that is the issue?
90% of the time it's the gauge connector pins that need to be cleaned and fluffed up to make better contact with the circuit board or the little nuts come loose.
