Just wanted to say hello to gbody owners out there. Im in Virginia and currently on restoration of 78 monte. Adding some pics of original purchase condition. I should have drove as was. I was working at good job and was able to start build. After tear down was layed of so project slowed. Now doing research and part buying. This isnt going to be a fast build. I am in process helping friend restore and build a 55 chevy 210. So upon completion of that I can return to monte. I appreciate all info i have found here without even posting. Look forward to working with members.

Welcome to the forum. Looks like a great car to restore. I would have to say that the 78-79 montes are my favorite monte body style.
Nice car, love the interior. I dont know what all the fuss is about the 3rd gen monte when its obvious the malibu was 100times better 🙂 but if i had to choose one, that training day 3rd gen would be it.
Welcome to GBF and that's a nice looking Monte. My first G was a '79 Monte..I love that style for sure..Wish the general woulda kept it around for a few more years..... 8)
