I finally got started on replacing the bushings on my Monte,something I've been putting on the back burner for the last few years.I didnt have a whole lot of time today,just a couple of hours,but I did get all the bolts loose,except for one that broke.There was a bushing in the # 5 position that I was kinda surprised to see as I thought that was a Buick GN thing.I have a set of Polygraphite bushings from PST to replace the old ones.I have 5 done on one side,tomorrow the broken bolt will need removal,and where that one is in position # 2 the frame is a bit rusty and will be getting a patch.

body bushings are always fun to change. i did both my 88ss and my 84cs.
i was lucky with my ss only braking 1 bolt. but was not so with my 84 braking 5 or so .

Well I wouldnt call it a fun job,more of a PITA LOL.Got some more done today,but found 2 more bad spots that will need a patch welded in.Both # 5's and the fronts are done and all the top ones are in place except the 3 needing a patch.But one patch is all welded in place,so hopefully we'll get it finished up tomorrow.Heres a few pictures;

Got my bushings done yesterday,the rusty holes are all patched and butt welded,the hole at # 4 on the passenger side needed 2 patches made to cover it completely.All the bolts are torqued to 50 ft.lbs. except I didnt get the fronts yet.It took longer than I thought it would,cleaning the rusty holes and making patches to fit those holes was time consuming,and my buddy Mark is very fussy and insists on a good job,which is a good thing.

Now I can get started on installing my new front end parts from SC&C.
