Gabriola Island, BC, Canada
Hey guys, great forum you got here, spent the last hour browsing through the plethora of info. Am brand new to the forum, live up here in the Canadian Pacific Northwest on a small Island called Gabriola. Own and run a small custom paint shop called Islandmotorwerks specializing in Choppers, Hotrods and the occasional boat. Just picked up an 85' Cutlass, kind of a beater but tons of great custom parts which i plan on stripping out over to another G body....see Cutlass section for my first question. Look forward to building this car with the help of G body gurus such as yourselves!

Welcome to the board and a wave from Bowser Outlaw. Good to see some more BC guys on this forum.

welcome soo how is it there

Thanks for the welcome guys! Mr. Evil, G bodys are kinda new to me, i'm a little old school and never regarded 80's cars to be collector worthy. But the more i learn about them, the more they grow on me, so i may be picking your brain for sources on local parts, etc. Decided not to cannibalize this 85 Cutty, but fix it up instead. On the outside it isn't pretty, but underneath it's got a rebuilt, mild performance 350, B&M, full edelbrock suspension, Hotchkis swaybars, flowmasters, etc, etc. Runs and drives beautifully. The body is not that bad and frame is good. I'll do a little paint magic over the winter, she's a diamond in the rough and just needs polishing. Onward to the Cutty section of this forum........

Welcome to the forum bro, from Ontario. Please post some pics of your new cutty, perhaps start a build thread.

Pick away, lol. I'm by no means a guru but have been at them for a few years now. I still have lots of Q's myself. bc g-body is a local Vancouver site for g-bodies you might want to check out as well. Their manners and info are not as vast as this site, but there are a lot of local guys into these cars. See you on the boards....
