Hey ladies and gentleman.
I'm the new guy from Ottawa On.
Had a couple G- Bodies, first being a stone stock 305 84 Cutlass, the. I had this

Mild 355, T5 and auburn posi in a 7.5, lots of fun.
Now I bought this

off a former memeber here. Super nice guy and was fair as hell on price.
He hurt the crank in his 406 so it got pulled and kinda left that way. He sold off the T56 and the car sat.
I picked it up for $1600 and sold off some of the parts for $400 so I'm $1200 in...hey look, I can do math!
The 406 is headed to the machine shop with a spare crank i had, new bearings, light hone and slam it back together. No clue what I'm going to do with that yet tho. Instead I picked up

Well not this stolen pic, but mines a virtual copy, just isn't home yet so don't have pics.
6-71 358ci, Victor JR heads, big roller, pair of 750 blower carbs, dart block.
Made 654hp on low boost (6psi) on 92 octane.
Backed by a full manual TH400 with a custom 3000stall.
Any guesses on how long the auburn Posi, stock axled 7.5 lives?
275/60 ET streets too lol.
Car goes to the body shop this weekend for a small rocker repair, and a scuff and shoot flat black
Will be rolling on black powder coated drag lights.
20% tint.
Only shiny bits will be the big lung sticking out the hood.
Think "Murder Nova" only a much cooler G Body
That's about it.
My timeline is to have it rolling by mid June at the outside.....
Will update as stuff gets Done
Been a lurker hear for a long time and its nice to join in.
Thanks for reading

Dave

Yeah, the lad I bought it from did a decent job, it has all the correct body parts, it has the cleanest set of SS wheels i have ever seen so I assume he had them redone. The paint isn't great and it has a fist sized hole in the pass rocker. The floors and rails are clean, the 2 body mounts just under the firewall are starting to push through a bit but not real bad. Might butcher /patch them. I have a tiny budget to work with so I'm going to do the most I can with little money. The motor, trans, guages, shifter, rad, elec fans, Holley elec pump and weld wheels are all coming out of a beat up 74 Vette that I did a trade deal for another car. Its a goofy story, the driveline was built for the vette a couple years back and huge money was spent, but the car needed elec, and paint, and brakes so it never actually ran. Now the guy that owned it is living in a condo, and has no place or desire to finish it. I happen to have a 71 Comet GT with a TFs headed 306 roller motor that he had a hard on for. Well I never drive the thing cause its tiny and I have another car (70 Meteor coupe) that I daily drive all summer. So I traded him the Comet for his Vette with all the expensive driveline complete. I'm gutting the vette and its all going in the Monte. I have thevette sold as a rolling chassis for $1500 bucks and that's paying for my fuel cell, lines and whatever other odds and ends pop up during the build. The motor was built by a top speed shop in town and has only dyno time on it.
Wow......that's a long *ss story lol.....and I didn't even get into the reason the blower motor went into the vette to begin with lol.

Oh and the paint and body is being done by a buddy that owners a couple body shops....I do lots of favours for him and his car, so this is his thank you lol.
