Hello all!! Was directed to come to these forums by another member. Starting to restore my 87 that has been parked for a few years and its turning out to be quite the project. Hope I can get some tips and advice by other members!!

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Direct middle of Canada basically, gets super hot +35C and -50C (with windchill) I have owned the car for 6 years, bought it as my first car (daily driver) Was restoring it with my Dad but he sadly passed away in 2008. Was left without someone to teach me along the way and I eventually put the project on hold and get a different daily driver (2008 Dodge Charger) Have had the car parked in my backyard ever since and it has been eating away at me that its just sitting there. I miss driving it so much, I have never had more heads turn while driving a vehicle!! Finally have a couple friends willing to help with lots of knowledge and I have gained some vehicle knowledge over the last few years myself and I am eager to get started on it!!
Specs for the vehicle:
5.0L 305 V8
Oxblood Interrior
Dual exhuast (done by previous owner sounds good though)
Vinyl top (still in good condition, tried to take care of it since I owned it)

Thanks very much for your response. Thanks also for posting the photo. Your cutlass looks to be in pretty good shape. Definitely a car that you can drive and enjoy.

Welcome! Definitely couldn't have found a better source for information or advice on a Gbody. Keep us posted with progress! WE ALL LOVE PICS!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!! The Cutlass needs alot of work unfortunately. Was hoping to be able to do a few minor things and drive it this summer. I had it parked for awhile and had no idea how bad sitting would be for it. The floor pans are rusted through so much so that a hole has developed underneath the rear seats. Pulled carpet completely to the fire wall and under the drivers seat is eventually going to get rusty and the passenger side was fine but I may as well do an entire new floor pan to eliminate it alltogether. Inside quarters on the rear end are starting to rust through, little bit of door rust on the bottom of each door. Trunk lid rust starting to get pretty bad. Really hoping I can find some advice and direction on where to look for these replacement pieces. I know if I get ontop of the rust sooner rather than later and undercoat it really good I can probably save this car. Little bit of frame rust starting at the rear end but no major holes, will probably be able to patch it with a few pieces of steel. I live in Canada but I understand some parts are probably going to have to come from the States.

Welcome to the site.
To bad you live so far I would have given you a hand fixing the ol girl.
I live on the east coast in N-B
But will try to help the best I can long distance.
