Hi, I am in the process of restoring a '84 El Camino SS Choo-Choo Custom. My Dad is the original owner of the car and has given it to me for my first car. This was his daily driver until 3 years ago and has been sitting out in the elements since. It has the original 305 that came in it but the transmission has been swaped for a TH350. We had the front end rebuilt a few months ago and I am now working on a 350 out of '92 Silverado Z71 to put in it.

pardon the stupidity: what's the difference between a "choo-choo" el camino and a regular one?

correct me if i'm wrong guys but "choo choo" was a place that took stock elkys and made them look like SS. They would recive one from a dealer then send it back with the conversion done. I even think they did T top conversions. at least i've seen a choo choo w/ t tops on an el camino.
