Hey all,

I'm a new lucky owner of this 78' Malibu. The car is an original unrestored swiss car assembled in Switzerland at the GM assembly plant in biel. It has a 305 V8, air conditioning, electric windows and seat bench.
It's actually my daily driver! Here some pics:

Welcome to the forum...that is one super clean Malibu...very nice indeed.
You're going to have to tell us some history of how you acquired the car and how it had been stored for all these years.

Welcome ,
Great looking car , have never seen the euro spec front signals before.
GM had / has a plant in Switzerland , I did not know.

As others have asked , details please

enjoy

Thank you very much for all your compliments!!
Lets talk about the car's history. I bought it to a retired scientist living close to the city of Bern. He bought the car new to a Chevrolet dealer.
The Malibu has original 101'000 km, approximately 62'000 miles.
As you can see in the picture showing the engine bay there's a trim tag on the drivers side fender well with the homologation and ID number.
Everything is working except the air conditioning.

Very nice car...and a rare find. I'm surprised it doesn't have the amber and red European taillights as well the front bi-color turn signals.
The Swiss made Malibu station wagons were equipped with the amber and red tallight lenses.
It also has the later type R4 A/C compressor rather than the bulky A6.
