Hi Folks, been a fan of the G Body Malibu since the first ones in '78. Rather than get a Malibu, I decided an El Camino would be kinda cool instead. It only took me 30 years to locate a G Body in my price range (free). Anyway, I thought 4 wheel drive would be the way to go considering where I live and I want to drive it year round. So, please don't dump on me. Hopefully I can pick up some info on these cars and I can contribute some advice and opinions , based on my 30 plus years of autobody repair.

Welcome to the forum. That actually sounds interesting. I have seen a Cutlass that was made into a 4x4, it was either 78 or 79. Looked nice too. At least it won't be a donk! Good luck.

arent those built on blazer frames?

I'd love a 4x4 elco, Its the best of both worlds and you still have the bed. I'd throw some Interco AT's on it and straight pipes and rock it.

Welcome, we gotta see some pics!
