Hi folks-
I just registered here this morning. However, I've been snooping around for a few months as I start gathering parts and ideas for my project. I've gotten to the point where I want to be able to ask questions and get some help from those with more experience with G-Bodys.
I'll give you a quick intro to myself and car. My name is Greg and I work at Honest Charley Garage in Chattanooga, TN where we build hot rods and restore vintage cars. I've been paint/body/fabricate/wire since I got my car and it turned into my career. I've literally known my '79 Grand Prix my entire life, as my parents drove me home from the hospital in it. Both my older sisters drove it in high school and then my dad gave it to me when I was 15. I love it and will never get rid of it. I've been through it a couple times to customize it as styles have changed. I'm really going through it this time! Got the interior stripped out and I'm busting out the cracked seam-sealer now. I will be giving it all the options that my car never had (tilt, reclining seats, defogger, power windows, etc..) Thats where I can use some help- knowledge of parts interchange and availability 🙂
I'll post pictures as I progress as I'm pretty proud of it and will continue to be so through the next couple years!
