Hey guys. I've been coming to this site for a few months now for info so I figured I'd join. I've got an '85 Cutlass 3.8 v6 TH200. I got it last year wanting to have it as a project car but the budget got tight and it's been my daily driver for almost a year now. Surprisingly it's done really well. Thermostat was stuck open and I discovered a leaky trans cooling line but it's been really reliable (although I've never had a car that took 15 seconds to get to 60 mph). Got it at 87,*** miles - wasn't a barn find or anything but it's been well taken care of. It was undercoated at one point and has little rust. I hope to get a different vehicle soon and get it parked but for now I'll be coming here whenever something breaks. One things that bugs me about this car... it doesn't have the trim at the along the rockers. How many of these were sold with the trim? Here are some pics.

Good looking car.

And be lucky you don't have that fugly trim, aka "snake blinders". Your car would likely be a lot worse for rust with them.

Welcome aboard! Where at in Ohio are you?

Welcome! That's a real nice looking car 🙂 I wish mine didn't have the rocker trim, I like the look of it but between the rattling, constant polishing and huge potential for rust it's really more trouble than it's worth.

You're right, a lot of polishing but it sure lOoks good when cleaned up IMO. Also hides rust if ya got any. Lol
