first post, new here. Been on ROP for years and found this looking for g-body info. I saw a few "familiar faces" here, and looks like a great site. I've got an 81 cutlass, originally 3.8 car, that I've slowly been working on for a few yrs. Family, and kids keep my budget very thin, so I look for all the inexpensive "tips" and deals I can find. I work for a local salvage yd on the weekend, so I have access to a few "bonus" parts. My mtr is a .030 over 455, trw forged pistons, jm-20-22 cam, n-crank, c-heads, O4b intake, Edel-700 carb. I haven't fired this new mtr yet, but it's now in the car with a 400 trans, and 8.2 rear from an A-body. Found this site researching a standard trans swap, as I found a g-body with a std trans this weekend that almost went in the crusher. Got the pedals, z-bar, clutch rod, shifter boot...I know I'll need the fork, bellhousing, and trans, but I'm in research mode now! I appreciate any help on anything ya'll throw my way.
