Hello all....I am a new proud owner of a 1987 Monte Carlo LS, a true blooded ex-Granny grocery getter that i picked up for cheap. An LS model, 4.3 Liter EFI, 54,000 original miles (4,000 put on it over the past year by the P.O. who bought it from the O.O. about 10 months ago) Up until today my daily driver has been a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, (yeah Classicoldsmobile.com!!) but the gasoline loving 455 c.i. engine in it needed a break so I finally happened across a much more efficient G-Body Monte to do my daily dirty business. Way back in the year 2000, my first car was a 1972 Monte Carlo. I had to sell it a few years ago, which i regret every day of my life, but I finally have another one. Anyway I look forward to learning anything and everything as this is my first classic with an EFI. When I took off the aircleaner today, I had absolutely no idea what the hell I was looking at. I can rebuild a QuadraJet with my eyes close, but I have A LOT to learn about this newer computer controlled. So please bare with me cause I am going to be picking brains and asking lot of questions! 😀

Welcome!

Welcome!! Do post some pictures when you get a chance

Welcome aboard..............We look forward to your pics and posts 😀 If I remember right.best and safest places there was Fells Point and the Inner Harbor..................Better buy the "CLUB" JK 😀

Ha your completely right Jbreu! I actually live in Baltimore county, a good 10 miles north of the Inner Harbor. It's better....somewhat. Here in the county, we just have stoners and crackheads that like to sneak into your backyard and steal whatever crap they can to take to the metal recycler. About a month after I got my Cutlass, I had taken out the old radiator and bought a cheap aluminum one (as cheap as they get) I had them both outside because I was painting the new one, and going to trash the old one. They were both gone when I woke up the next morning. Then a few months later I had a case of the "thoughtful thief". Someone popped the Cutlass hood, unbolted my battery hold down, took my fairly new battery. If that was it, I would chalk it up to some crackhead. But after they took my battery, they put in an old battery, reclamped it down, and even though I had dissconnected the battery cables the day before, the thief was kind enough to rehook the cables back up! I just stood their looking at my engine bay saying :wtf: Anyone ever seen that Dane Cook skit when he talks about driving a family crazy by breaking into their house, but not stealing anything, and they go mad trying to figure out what he stole. That's what I felt like.

And here are some pictures. Its in need of some good sprucin up, but it will get there!
