Hello everybody, I've been lurking on this site for about five weeks but finally signed up to buy something from the classifieds section. Since my cover has been blown I might as well introduce myself. My name is Jay and my hobbies include competitive shooting, astro physics, racing and being in bad moods.

I recently bought my first G-body a 1987 GMC Caballero a rust free, mostly straight running project car I hope to turn into a road course terror and someday compete in the newfoundland targa. several thousand dollars from now.

I have little to no experience racing RWD cars as both my previous racers were FWD track odditiys including a 13 second Saturn Wagon and a Lucurne powered Trans Sport. The Cabalero will be the most mainstream, least interesting car Ive ever raced. I wasn't even looking for one when I found it, I was actually hunting a '96 Buick Century wagon to house the 350hp/400tq L67 I've been peicing together. But one could not be found. The caby was something I always liked and when I found it running and in my modest price range I didn't think twice. Guess I'm just going to hav e to live with being normal for a while. 😢

I'll try to get picks up soon but my computer has imploded. I'm actually posting from an Xbox.

Welcome aboard, Jay.

Welcome aboard Jay!
What part of Florida are you from?

Casselberry. It's about 15 minutes north of Orlando.

I love your wagon BTW. Really wish I could have found a wagon.

Jay,
I've heard of Casselberry, usually on the WESH- TV news channel.

There's nothing wrong with an El Camino/ Caballero. The A-G body Elkys have become very popular these past few years.
Thanks for the complement BTW.

I see that you were considering a '96 Buick Century wagon and installing an L67 supercharged 3.8 V-6. That would make a cool sleeper, and parts hauler.

Maybe if somebody total's the LeSabre I'll go that route as a daily, but barring that she'll be with me for a long time. The cabby is the project now.

and the WESH broadcasting station is about a mile from here.

welcome to the site Jay theres alot of great info on here i live in central florida too St cloud

How 'bout this one:

That's turn-3 entry of new symerna speedway, about 5 minutes before the Bonneville club was black flagged and asked politely to leave and never come back. Apparently none of us know what a "parade lap" is.
