Hi, My name is Tony. I recently......ok, not so recently bought a Monte Carlo SS clone with a 305 and T-Tops back in August. Pretty much everything except for the SS nose and SS rear spoiler are stock. The car is in great shape and has almost no rust on it. The body is pretty strait other than a few dings and it's a pretty good looking car. The only bad thing about the car is that my transmission is going and a few other very minor things (needs a passenger mirror, rear headliner etc.).

Having an complete inability to leave a car like this stock, I bought a TH350 transmission that was used in a short track car, which has a mild converter and a shift kit. I also bought a B&M Z-Gate shifter to make the transmission swap easier, a True Dual Exhaust kit from Jegs, and Jegs headers to go along with the dual exhaust. Since I don't want to modify my crossmember I ended up buying a new Jegster TH350 Transmission Crossmember to make the whole swap easier. All thats left is to find someone help me install all these parts for a decent price......since I suck at the mechanic work.

Future plans include building a streetable 350 engine with ported and polished "601" 305 heads (which according to engine analyzer pro makes 395 horsepower and 398 torque without any problems and with the right combonation), lowering the car about 3 inches, painting it gloss black, and getting a set of 15 inch Weld Prostar wheels.

Anyways, I figured that it was about time for me to join the forums. I hope to have fun posting here.

Pics of the car as it is now.

This is what I'm hoping will look like when completed (AKA, My dream car).
