South East of France
Hi guys

I'm 36 years old, living in the south east of France near Valence.
I'm the happy owner of a 1999 LS1 Camaro, 1972 Elcamino and a 1980 Elcamino... also used to have few mustangs in the past: (a full stock 1967 HT and a 1979 with a 1996 cobra 4..6 DOHC swap)

The 1980 elco is currently being restored.... At the beginning it was just for a complete paint job, but i'm now looking to swap the SBC350 / TH350 for a LS1 / T56 combo...
I still have few parts at home:
- 50K miles LS1 from another 1999 camaro
- 15K miles T56 from a 2004 pontiac GTO with complete clutch and bearing
- PSI Conversion wiring harness and a calibrated PCM
- shorty headers

I may be not very usefull on the forum, but i think i'll have few questions to ask and some parts to find...

By advance, I appologize for my poor English / American level 😀

regards

Nicolas

Hello & welcome from Toronto, Canada.
Show us some pix!

Pics are coming.... 😉

the 1980 elco when he arrives in France (may 2014)... paint is worn, hood is rusty, but the rest is in a great condition for a 35 years old car...I've just changed shock absorber and the dimmer switch to pass french technical inspection successfully and get my french title..

Now, the car is wainting for his new paint... I chose Audi "Ibis white" as the new color...
on this pic, the car has just been primered

Engine and transmission are on the 1972 elco frame currently, it's running, (strong) but the 1972 body needs to much work, and the car is still with the american title...so i prefer to swap the 1980 elco and i'll restore the 1972 later...

The Camaro is "navy blue" one with a 4L60e transmission and is an "export", sold new in Germany in 1999, I bought her 3 years ago... full stock except C5 17' rims, Bisltein B6 shock absorber an poly bushings... think you don't need pics, you've got the same one in the USA (but just ask if you want  )

find also a pic of the 1972 elco when he arrives from Caifornia

Welcome to the forum, Nicolas.
Thank you for sharing pictures of your fine examples of US iron. It's nice to see active US car enthusiasts from other countries. Keep us updated on your El Camino progress.

You're welcome... here in France, lots of people are fond of US cars, and because of the exchange rate € / $, a lots of cars have been imported to France (specialy mustangs, hot-rods and camaros)

Three years of high school language classes, taken a very long time ago. And yes, I did check my work against Google, but it agreed with my best guess...

J'espere que vous ne s'offenser pas...

Don't worry, I'm not offended at all ... I really appreciate your effort to speak French a little
