I just wanted to take a second and say hi. I recently acquired an 83 regal and have big plans for it. I will be hunting parts so keep me on your radar
My goals are to get in the 5s in the 1/8 with a turbo 6.0. Im working on fabbing a 9" housing and converting the existing 6 point to a 14 point.Hey man, I live up a little north of Huntsville. I looked for a regal for a long time but just ended up with a 86 cutlass instead. In the process of gathering tools and parts now. What kind of goals do you have in mind?

A Tig isnt worth the cost for a roll cage. A quality mig with the correct wire and argon/c02 mix does just as good. Tig has its place on welds on fuel tanks etc. Harbor freight has good benders for not a lot of moneySame goals here. trying to wait to tear the car down till I get a TIG and bender.

Moly is a little overkill isnt it? Not knocking you, just curious why.chromoly has to be tig'd to cert. If I was doing mild steel then yeah I have a couple Miller mig machines. Looking at the JD2 model 3 for the bender.
