new member..got a question

hey guys, im new here.

i got a 79 wagon with some work done to it.

i just had a question.
i have a stock 7.5" 26 spline 3.73 posi rear in my car

will 78 2 door 26 spline axles work with my setup.


or do i need speical parts?

Hmm, as far as I know they should work. Try calling around to some local (or even non-local) junkyards and ask if they have an interchange manual, that will tell you for sure.

They'll work.

The only difference in an axle would be whatever year they started using metric wheel studs and lug nuts, and even then it's the same axle, just with the different studs. '78 and '79 are both sae wheel studs.
