Hello all from Central Texas. I recently bought my 3rd G-body, my first was an 85 Grand Prix LE that I sadly sold years ago. Second was an '83 Bonneville Model G wagon...stop laughing.. ; )
I've also drivin a lot of mid-80's El Camino's at my former job, my boss loved them. I'm a big G-body fan.
Anyway I've ALWAYS wanted a Cutlass and just recently I bought a nice new toy. My car is a '88 Cutlass Supreme Classic with the little 307 V8, floor shift console, full gauges, buckets, handling package, chrome Super Stock wheels, t-tops, and no vinyl roof.
The friend I bought the car from added the Hurst Olds spoiler to it when he bought it, other than that and a Pioneer CD radio it's totally stock. It's by far the nicest one I've seen in a while and is set up exactly like I always wanted one. It's always been stored inside and is rust-free with the exception of the lower front edge of the passenger side door.
The little 307 runs like a watch so I'll most likely leave it alone for now. Car has 92K original miles. It's not a powerhouse but it cruises really well and rides smoother than my Roadmaster Wagon.
I'm going to put the stock Delco ETR radio back in it and stash a CD changer in the truck. Will keep it as stock and original as possible.
Such fun!
Maybe in a few years I'll start searching for an Olds 350 or 455. ; )
The car does need some things here and there and I'm hoping to lean on you folks a bit when I get stuck! Anyway here's a few pics. Will post more in the photos section.
