Good day,

I am new to this forum and need some help in decoding VIN numbers/option codes. I am in search of any information, links, books that can fully decode a VIN for a G-Body Olds. I can find the basic decoders but I am wanting a little more breakdown, like info on each digit in the VIN, as well as options listed for the particular years. My reason is I'm on a hunt for another g-body Olds and have come across a couple that, let's just say, were being passed off as something they were not.

I figure there should be something out there as I was able to find loads of info for my 66 Impala Hardtop.

Can any of you help?

Thanks

As the 80's came along it was very difficult to tell what model a car really was without decoding the options on the trunk sticker. The site above is full of knowledgeable people that can likely give you some tips.

Thanks everyone for your help. Again, have a lead on a vehicle and just want to make sure it is the real deal b4 I purchase it.

I tried the first link but unfortunately there aren't any links for the 87 - 88 model years 😢
