New Member with 3 G-Bodies

Hi all,

I own a 198? Cutlass Calais V6, a 1986 Cutlass Supreme with an Oldsmobile 350, and a 1982 GMC Caballero with a Chevy 350. Planning on scrapping the '86. The '8? has a broken rear window and I will use the one in the '86 to fix that. I just got the GMC running. G bodies are pretty common here. I don't know exactly what year the Calais is, but I do know that it has the grille with the rectangular holes. What years had this grille?

No problem.

After I change the glass and oil, the Calais will be ready for street use. It has a column shift steering column in it because people kept trying to steal it. Also thinking about swapping the cassette player out of the '86 into the Calais. (The '86 is a 4-door by the way) The GMC will probably be sold soon.

I figured out that my Calais is a 1981. I read here that there were only 4,105 made for that year? Is thos true,

Welcome to the Forum. I'm not sure the exact #, but not as many Calais were made compared to supremes. My guess would be more around 10-12k made. 88 h/o or 68 h/o on this forum would know more about that. Can u post up some pics on to the forum? How's the interior look?
