Hey guys I have read a lot of info on here and finally decided to sign up. I just got a 86 cutlass supreme a couple weeks ago. I am using it as my dd, so far I recored about 16-17 mpg combined. Better then what I expected. Ses light is on and throwing code for my tps sensor. I am going to rebuild carb and fix that hope to average some better mpg. I am going to be doing a lsx swap into it. I have The 5.3 motor and the 4l60e transmission. Just waiting to collect all the parts going to be needed. So will update once I start build. For now I just wanted to say hi to everyone, throw out two questions, and gather some pics I can post.

So sence its my dd. What are some good tips for mpg, I am going to rebuild carb already. But wanted to see if there some tips/tricks without dumping a lot of money into sence its getting riped out for a lsx?

Next question is I can't decide on paint. It's primered right now i have red interior(going to change to black under one condition, if I paint white and like the color combo.) So my thoughts are a pearl white, silver color like a light color, or black(kinda leaning away from black cause the cost and how hard it is to keep up and body needs to be immaculate for black, but if budget would allow later on black will be color I choose) other then that any opinions on white vs silver? I was hoping somone might have pictures of our g bodys in those two color and lean me twards a shade or color code.

Those colors look great I see a lot of white cutlass but I haven't seen to many good silver options. I like a diamond white pearl with irocs
