Well after looking for over 1-1/2 yrs I found a car just like the one my wife and I dated in...I closed the deal last night on a
1979 Pontiac Grand Am black/gold , console delete, automatic... Can't wait for her to arrive on Friday...the only difference
between the one I bought new is mine had the console on the floor...NO BIG DEAL, I feel fortunate to find one 32 yrs later.
She's all original and needs a little TLC but I'm happy! Have pics of her, but thought I'd post new ones of her when she arrives.

cant get much closer to the same car than that! nice ride, id love to find a grand am.

Nice..don't think I've ever seen a gbody grand am around here. Looks like they both got the vinyl bucket seats, those are nice!I been lookin for another seat llike that to complete my set with no luck lol, mine were out 0f a 79 regal. Not seen a gbody bucket seat car w/o a console.must be an oddity.

Cool that you found a replacement. I can't imagine that they're easy to find. I live in an area where Gbodys are quite common but very rarely see Grand Ams.

Nice score, Ken.
Take some more pics after you get it. Do you know the history of the car...past owner(s), etc.?
They look great with the black and gold color combination.

Good for you I say...I bet your bride is happy too......I like the Grand Ams of that era, just wish they made more of 'em. Good score, how much you get it for??

Probably a little more than she's worth but the sentimental value is priceless..Bought one new at age 21 just like it....Drove it off the showroom floor...Be selling the LEMANS if anyone is interested! 😀
