Ok , new guy here...
81 camino, gm goodwrench 350 crate engine , original rubber motor mounts... worn and not awesome.
New energy suspension motor mount part # 3.1116 clamshell type - very awesome.
I got as far as removing all the old mounts, drilling the rivets, inserting the poly bushings, aligning up the holes EXACTLY where they were originally and the motor wont go into its home.... With the mount bolted to the frame the right motor mount hole ( for the single long bolt ) lines up like a million dollars but the left mount bolt seems to be about 1'' off ( twords the fender ). I left everything all loose and jiggly, tried every which way and I had to reinstall the worn rubber one on the passenger side mount to get her back on the road.
Has anyone ever dealt with this? Am i missing something? Believe me i checked the part# and read the directions a dozen times. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, Thx.

Did you take the mounts out and compare them to see if there are any differences in them, since the right one fits? Are both your clam shells the same, and are they undamaged?

The frames were drilled to accept every motor possible. Verify the mounts are in correct holes. Also if you put one mount all the way in the engine will be at an angle and will not always pivot into place. The Poly has very little give so sometimes takes a bit more to get both tabs seated and lined up then with rubber which moves easy.
