 .. as the title says new to everything, new to this website, new to american cars, new to old school...... ok 1st, I am in Va Beach, I am in fact in the USN, and well I am here to learn, I currently own a 1979 Monte Carlo which I was given in border perfect condition and an 84 buick Regal that I am stripping the gand national interior out of since the Monte one is a 79, the year I was born and 2 its in a lot better condition to start with than my Regal... I have the intireor stripped and transfered, and next gotta get the shifter set up in the monte so that its in the floor, like the regal... so thats me, my project is going to take a while and I am very open minded to reccomendations and experience in the area of cars.. so I guess thats it.

Good luck..and post pics of the Monte!

first off good luck and welcome to...well, everything 😉
second, is the buick you're taking apart actually a gn or did it just have that interior? If it is actually a GN theres probably a bit more stuff than the interior and shifter that you wanna pull off of it and switch over

na.. just the interior wish it was a GN, but its not, just the 231 V6, nothing special.. I wish I knew what engine my Monte had in it other than being able to tell its a v6.. so if you have more tips, drop me some knowledge.. thanks
