Hey all i just found this site yesterday and figured i'd give it a try. I've been messing with G-Body's for about 8 years now, since i was 14. My first car(s) were an 82 Cutlass which i had to sell and then an 86 Regal which i still have. And now my project for the last 5 years, 87 MC SS. I've bee working as a contractor in Afghanistan for the last 2 years, so the progress has been slow. I'm heading home in May, so i'll have all the parts i need waiting at the house to try and finish this one.

Here's what i've done so far:

Engine: Built 383 Stroker (460HP/510TQ) Naturally Aspirated
transmission: Stage 3 700R4 (Mad Dog Trans out of Tarpon, FL)
Driveshaft: 3.5" DOM Steel
Front brakes: Willwood 11" Rotors/Calipers/Pads
Steering Gear Box: Rebuild
Radiator: Be Cool 2 Core w/electric fan
Paint: Dupont Burgundy (4 Base Coats/6 Clear)

I've also done extensive audio work to the car:
Pioneer 400W deck w/usb plug in
4 Infinity 3 way 6x9's in the rear deck, below the rear windshield
2 Infinity 3.5" w/tweeter in the dash
2 Infinity 6" Speakers in each lower door panel
2 Memphis M3 12" 1800W MAX/1200W RMS Subs
1 Alpine 1500W Mono Amp for the subs

Coming Soon:
Custom console w/8" Alpine Sub facing the rear seats
New Dash/Gauge Cluster

New Rear End (Currie 9", 31 Spline Axles, w/ 3.73 gears)
New Front/Rear Suspension From BMR Fabrication
Rear Disc Brake Conversion
Wheels/Tires
New T-Top/Body Seals

Thanks guys. Got 3 more months here in Afghanistan. Just tryin to pass the time. Got around $6000 of parts at home waiting on me.

first be safe over there. second welcome.....and third the pics you have of the upper and lower arms for the rearend are those also from currie?? want to change the setup on my rearend and try to get a little more traction without minitub or back halfing it... would like to get it to hook up with smaller tires so I can keep it somewhat streetable...John

All the Suspension pix are from http://www.spohn.net. They produce some really nice stuff. A buddy of mine intoduced me to them. All their A-Arms & Control Arms can be outfitted with Del-Sphere Pivot Joints (re-buildable bushings). They're all available in chromoly for the weight reduction, but you're gonna pay for it. But for the full front end (springs, shocks, A-Arms, full front end rebuild kit, & 2" drop spindles) & rear upper & lower control arms I paid around $2000. Not too back for a performance suspension. Its sittin in my garage at home waiting on me.
