New to me 1983 Malibu. After many many years of wishing, I finally have a g body!

I've owned a couple less-than-practical daily drivers over the years but due to my living situation I've never been in a position to have a dedicated project car until this year. I've always had a soft spot for and longed for a g body of any kind and randomly came across this on FBMP and could not resist. Bought it sight-unseen and a couple days ago I got a ride out to it and drove it 260km back. Ancient "winter" tires, multiple snowy mountain passes, no turn signals, no brake lights, no wipers, but I made it.

It appears to be essentially bone stock. Odo says 59k kms and the seller thinks it's just 59k but I suspect it may be 159k. The 305 still sounds and feels strong and the underside is surprisingly rust free. Immediate plans beyond maintenance and a few fixes are build up the 305 a bit, paint it, and try to find some decent 15x8 wheels.

Photo is from the trip home. It was clean when I picked it up but that doesn't last long in the mountains of BC in the winter.

I love it. How are more doors viewed in BC. To me they are very practical cars and plenty big for all the winter gear, and as an old fart they are easier to get out of in the parking lot. By the way. those trim rings are stock for my '84 Elky. If you are changing the wheels I'd love to have the trim rings. I'd pay you a fair price plus shipping for them. Just now going to repaint my '84. Two of my trim rings are buggered. phone 772 468 6986. Dan thanks
