I just got my 86 cutlass Salon, Very Clean, I am looking to get it running nice Driver. I have a few questions, if sombody could answer these.

Will pypes exhaust give me a good growl from the 307? Dont want nothing ridiculous or Loud, like flow masters can be.

the 307, has 144 k but is still strong, Would putting after market Performance parts have anything to do with the life of the 307?

Im in the DC area, anybody know of any mechanics in the Area, (unfortunately I have no space for work, besides basics)

nice car.if you go to pypes wibsite you can hear there systems on cars.the performance parts should not hurt you life of the motor,but might make it last longer.just take care of it and it well last.

if want anything decent for a growl you need to loose the cat at the very least. i ran one where i cut the cats off so it just had the crossover pipe on and it was still pretty quiet so i think loosing the cat to get any sound is a must and if you really want to get a real nice sound you'll need true duals

get some input from someone that left the cat on it and just replaced the muffler and i believe they will tell you its still relatively quiet anyways though
