Hey guys, a fellow coworker named Dave told me to join and I've been wanting to find a good site to figure out more info about my 86 grand prix, so here I am! I also have a few other cars you can check out by visiting my home page

So, to start, a few years ago I bought this off a coworker when I worked at a car lot. The car had been sitting for a while, but had an excellent body and we got it for $500. I cleaned it up, and it cleaned up real well. The interior was also pretty nice except the headliner is trash and the seats dried up and are breaking apart. I am planning to redo the interior, keeping it factory appearance, but recolor and straiten it up so not too big of a deal.

The issue with the car is the transmission ended up having no reverse and a bad pressure regulator, so after about a year the transmission blew out I beleive the pump seal, and it has been sitting since. I have a new transmission in it, however I still need to finish up a few connections. I am waiting for the weather to get warmer to do that. It also had a busted quarter glass and broken dash trim from being broken into before. I picked up like a $3 piece of plexi and put it in the window, and I know from a distance you cant tell at all, and also have a replacement trim sitting in the trunk

Also, another peice of the cars story that I'll go ahead and share is that one night during class, it was broken into. They didnt do too much, got away with some cd's, but nothing major. What made me mad is they popped the column, however on the opposite side to the lock cylinder. My brights and wipers were stuck on the whole trip home during the night, and my wipers were stuck for days til I could replace the column. It's been fixed, and I have pics of that if you follow the link to my homepage.

Oh! Almost forgot to mention a small tree fell on her this past winter during an ice storm we had. Fortunately there was so much snow and ice it actually protected the car lol did not even leave a scratch.

I also had a 12 inch sub in it but is not in it right now due to it sitting, had a sony cd player, going to need something else now, and have a flowmaster 40 series on it that sounds really nice and mellow. I also have 2 different set of tail lights for it.

Other than that, here are a few pics of the beast! The dents in the drivers side door were from a dog running into the side of it, poor thing never stood a chance...

yep all hard top! haha which I'm very glad for. Haha Dave keeps pesturing me to drive it into work, just gotta wait for better weather

Looks pretty good! Now you need some better wheels and a new taillight. For wheels, you can get a set of Pontiac Rallys off some late 80's Firebirds in a junkyard pretty cheap in a 15x7 size.

haha I knew someone would mistake that tail light, but no big deal. I actually have 2 sets of tail lights for it, the picture was a comparison of both on the car. The only problem is one of the tail lights (style on the right) is cracked, so I gotta find a replacement.

pics? I'm only needing one of the style on the right, I cant remember which ones cracked though, but I may be interested in yours if I like them
