Hello.. my name is tj and I new to this site and wannted to learn a few things about g-body ol schools...
I'm starting a new project that I've always wannted to do... I have a V6 1980 Cutlass surpreme thats been sittin in my back yard for over 7 yrs... so I went back then and to see if it would crank with a new bat and it did. So with that being said I wanted to do something nice with it. I found a v8 chevy 350 motor to put in it and a 400 turbo transmission to go with it..... I plan on puttin a good rear in to put in it but not sure wolhat would be a good gear for it.....

3.08, 3.23, 3.42 if you go with a od trans 3.73+ Use the search to find plenty of opinions on each

Welcome from West Michigan, TJ. I have 3.23 gears, TH350 and a 245/60/15 tires in/on the 78 El Camino and love them. 3.42 gears with the same Transmission and tire was a little much for me.
