name is john. local mechanic that has been a mechanic for 15 years that specializes in prototypes and customs have worked for gm, pontiac, cat, certified in hybrid tech. dont know it all and love to learn. my newest project has been a 79 elco that has been rode hard and never put up. body repair and a 82 olds cutlass front clip.

coming along awesome man! i like the shaved bed trim and marker lights. ive never seen anyone shave the bed trim by laying flat the pinch welds. cant wait to see how it comes out. ive seen an el camino with a grand national front end and they had grand national wheels in the front and el camino wheels in the back, that might be cool

Looks like an interesting project using the Cutlass nose. The body lines differ from the Cutlass to the El Camino. I see that, besides using the Olds nose, it also uses the doors as well. The lower quarters would then have to be modified to line up with the doors and fenders.
Cool project. You don't see many Cutlass Caminos done.
