Hey all, names Josh from VA own a 86 elcamino got it from my grandpa for christmas bout 5-6 years ago. When i got it it was completly stock but i cant leave well enough alone. So during high school i put a big cam in the 305 and shortly thereafter it wiped, i pulled the motor and gave it to a freind after buyin a 350 after i graduated. I got it off Craigslist put a edelbrock intake on it Proform distributor it already had comp cams roller rockers and a small cam dont know the specs.
put it in with a 2400 stall converter in the 2004r trans and soon after it bit the dust. Saved my pennies and then replaced it with the current trans, a t-350 with strong sprag and shift kit and 25-2800 stall and Jegs crossmember. now im in the process of figuring out the cheapest way to put a ford nine inch in it whether it be cut and fit the one ive got of buy a housing premade for the car. Ive run it at the local dragstrip 9.6 @ 75mph 1/8th mile not too bad for having stock rear no posi and 2.73 gears and that was with slicks, normal tires ended up just spining halfway down the track.
