I've had my S10 for about 6 years now and it's starting to wear a little thin on me, it's a second gen and the interior sucks, and since I have the heavy duty suspension it is stiff as hell and everything inside the truck creaks and rattles everytime I hit a bump. I love my truck don't get me wrong and I think I'd be a lot happier with a four link and some softer springs or airbags. I'd like to be able to take on road trips but I wouldn't even consider it right now.
I've been contemplating for a while getting rid of it for a g-body. Back in high school I helped a buddy of mine swap in a t-5 in his 87 SS and I loved how that car drove.

But back to my S10 it's a plain brown 98 extended cab with a 4.3/4l60e, in the six years I've had it I've added new ZQ8 wheels, a 3" exhaust with a 3" cat and an SLP y-pipe. I've also added a set of electric fans and a Zexel posi out of an LS1 camaro, a Vortech V1 , crane ignition box, and caltrac traction bars.

I never liked my ignition box mounted by my heaterbox so I moved it under my center console.

Heres a small clip of my exhaust, don't listen to it on a laptop otherwise all you will hear is the blower.

Welcome man! That is one sick s10 totally a sleeper in my book! But I understand your calling to a Monte lol  Welcome

Welcome! I'm an s-fan myself, I enjoy the first gens more tho. Get a g-bod and swap half the truck over....
Just a thought, lol.

That is one of my thoughts, all though I think if I did finally come to the point where I wanted to get rid of this truck and I can across a clean first gen 4x4 I'd really be reconsidering the whole gbody dream.

I never liked my 2nd gen (had a 96). Anyways, the great thing is g-bods and gen 1 s-series are pretty cheap to get hold of. I'm kinda broke, but if I wasn't I'd have one of each. G-bod/summers, s-15 winter/camping.

I've owned a few cars, including imports, I always come back to these. Call me crazy

I must be crazy too, then. Out of all the vehicles I've ever owned, my GP (obviously), my 94 S10 Blazer, and my 96 S10 have definitly been my favorites. Despite the fact that the 94 was a rust-bucket with a dented roof that some kid had rolled into a tree in the woods, it was still one of my better investments, vehicle-wise. (Probably because it's the only one I ever made money off of when I sold it.) The pickup was my pride and joy for about a year, till it got 'plowed' into last winter. I've still got it, but am trying hard to sell it. And the GP, well that's just obvious. It may look like sh*t, and be almost bone-stock under the hood, but it is still worth more to me than any other vehicle I could think of.
