Hey everyone,

I've known about this problem for a little while now, but never really worried about it because I don't really put the gas down really hard many times. There seems to be no downshift when I do put down the pedal when I'm cruising at 55, just bogs down really bad. It'll downshift however when I'm going under 40 mph or so into 2nd. Just found this a little strange. I'm pretty positive the TV cable is adjusted properly, it shifts at all the correct times flawlessly.

Is this normal for the TH200? I have 2.41 gears if this makes any difference. Would changing the springs or weights in the governer change this or does that have anything to do with this?

Ok I may have found some info on this problem. Apparently this is a normal problem with this transmission. Found this kit on ebay. Says it corrects no passing gear above 45, which is exactly my problem.

I just installed the TransGo shift kit with excellent results. Although the 1-2 shift is WAY better, it could be a tad more firmer IMO. I heard that a billet servo would fix that, but not sure. I've heard a th200-4r servo fits the regular th200, but not 100% sure. Can anyone confirm this? If they are interchangeable then a billet servo for a th200-4r sounds like a good upgrade.

So I only need the part of this kit that corrects the "no passing gear above 45" Because it is slightly annoying having the engine bogging down big time when I want to pass someone.

Any transmission experts on here that could maybe help me out? I would greatly appreciate it.
