New here but not to cars and such. Just found you guys from a link on Malibu Racing. I have a 79 Bu that I inherited from my grandma when she passed away in 99. She was the second owner and she bought it in 85 from her neighbor that bought it new. When she passed, it had approx 45xxx on it and now it has 82xxx. I pulled the original 200 v6 out in 2000 and installed the 350 from my 70 Nova which I had taken apart to fix correctly(the car,not the engine). The Bu has been down for about 5 years and now I'm trying to get it going again. Any questions-just shoot.

psychomotors,
Welcome to the site. I also learned of this site over on Malibu Racing! IIRC, I learned about G-Body Central here and El Camino Central from GBC. I see alot of the same people on all these sites!

Thanks guys. I'm currently trying to re-do the interior because it sat so long outside that the plastic trim turned to powder. I have different colored pieces from various cars that I am coloring black with Krylon Fusion plastic paint. Seems to be a good product. I am also rebuilding a donor 7.5 rearend for it.As far as pictures go.....its ugly, lol.

welcome to the forum. as well would like to see pics, keep posted how the interior paint turns out, going to also paint my interior black as well.

Welcome aboard.

I will post some stuff this week. Sorry I haven't been posting but I have a 6 month old lil boy thats been taking a lot of my time, lol. Should I post in here or in a more appropriate area?

As far as the painting of the interior goes, make sure that you take a tooth brush or something similiar to it first to clean out all the areas with some Simple Green or mineral spirits. I already have some peeling and flaking because I didn't prep a couple of pieces very well. On the areas I did prep good, the paint is doing well. :blam:
