Loose, no box. Can't recall what happened to it. It's been sitting on a shelf above my printer for a bit. Brand new, never been stuck on a car. Age has taken a slight toll on the finish, so it's not show-car perfect, hence the price. Hardly any of these caps are, anyway. Looks better in person, though. GM P/N 22531828 oil cap, made by Stant (like they all were). Has the "S" stamped on one ear and also the top of the center rivet. Officially, this is a ONE YEAR ONLY application. 84/85 factory cap had a "bridge" connecting the ears. 83 and earlier had ears on the sides. Specific application is all 307s for 1986 model year. However, it will physically fits all "modern" Olds V8 with fill tube in the front with the twist cap. $18 USD plus actual shipping from Aiken, SC 29803. Sorry, I don't belong to any 3rd party pay sites. So it's personal check or USPS money order. Sorry if that's inconvenient for you.
Not perfect. But fully functional. They haven't been made in years, and you can hardly find them anywhere. Has the separated ear tabs that started in the 86 model year, and subsequent oil caps got the separated ears, as well as ones made for earlier models after production. Looks identical to the 87-88 oil caps, with one exception. The oil weight changed. For this cap, it was 10W-30 printed on the cap. The 87-88 were stamped with 5W-30.
Refresher on how to tell the caps apart:

CUTLASS - Knowledge share- 84-88 Oil Cap I.D.
Oil caps. Oldsmobile changed those as much as some people change underwear. However, from 84-88, there were only 3 oil caps used on their gas V8 Olds engines from the factory. Chevy engines notwithstanding, those part numbers were as follows: 1984-85 used p/n 22522875 1986 used p/n 22531828...
