Im going to run it at the strip 1/8 mile, I want to do it but am a little scared cause i dont want to hurt the motor in any way it's all chromed out at I use to show it in show around the state, can any one give me some do and dont like i said I WANT TO DO THIS but im a bit scared to9 OLD AGE Has a little to do with it )

how much are you looking to spray?

what kind of converter? stall speed? size?
rear gearing?
rear type?
What kind of tires?

compression? details on motor internals?

i have a 2500 stall 373 gears posi 14 inch micky thomson slicks, 700 r4tranny, thinking about putting the th350 back in it had the 700r4 put in for trips but not doing that any more

Forged or cast internals in the engine?

I did a good amount of research before adding nitrous to my engine which if you do that I think you will feel more comfortable using it and understanding what precautions you need to take for the whole system to work properly and safely so you don't have any issues.
Internal engines parts are the determining factor on how much nitrous you can use and not knowing what you have I would put a safe limit on 100-125 hp kit and if you can afford an adjustable kit thats starts around 100 hp it would allow to add more nitrous later on if you do future engine upgrades.
Once you start adding more nitrous you need your engine set up with the right parts and build it to handle the maximum amount of nitrous you will be using.
You will also need the ability to to take out timing when the nitrous is activated and you will need colder spark plugs.
And also the rest of the car has to be able to handle the added power.

My video shows the things I added to go with the nitrous kit and how it looks installed, I feel I have the minimum required to make a kit capable of 300 hp function properly and also be monitored properly.

Im not sure what kind of interanals i have(there is kind of a long story with the builder, he was going thru a divorce and left town and close up shop over niten I belive the kit i have supoorts 50 to 150 set up
so not knowing whats inside i would say go with cast would be the safer way, im not a real serious racer just want to give it some fun (me) in the 1/8 mile, it is not a every week end thing i sure do apriacaite all your infor and help
on my way to ck out your video

You got your self ONE SICK LOOKING MONTE :bump:  your a shall we say A BIT MORE SERIOUS ABOUT IT than I am. 😀 I wish i would of started this when i was much much younger but better late than never, great vid, much respect for what you doing and how your doing it

Thanks for the compliment, I would think since you have a 383 that most likely you have at least a hypereutectic piston in there since any rotating kit I've seen for a 383 is either forged or hypereutectic.
