Well i finally found something that was in my price range that i wanted. I wanted a car that wasn't perfect and that wouldn't be hard to fix up really.

here is what i got:

1981 cutlass with:
Built 455 big block swap
Comp Cams extreme energy cam,
Edelbrock Air gap intake,
Holley 650 street/strip carb,
Hooker Supercomp headers,
Roller tip rockers, Hardened push rods
th350 trans with a shift kit,
3.42 posi, 28 spline axles
442 interior swapped
floor shifter swap.

it runs really good and everything works except for the speedo. i will need your help to get this working most likely.

here are some pictures i got her today and was at carcraft tonight.

Great find, as far as the speedo goes just put a sticky note that says "faster than them" in the guage cluster

With that kinda motor I think he's gonna need more than tires lol. Hell, with a 3.42 and over 500 lb. ft., it must be pretty damn hard not to do a burnout 😀 . Nice car Dennyboy. So I take it you sold your Ram?

Re: not exactly your grandpas cutlass

Yea great find. Needs a ralley gauge pak to match the buckets & console. If the air breather in the rain is a problem you can check out my pics for some ideas.

Re: not exactly your grandpas cutlass

yep my ram sold sad to see it go but i love the car more than the truck. just good memorys in the truck. it has a 2200-2800 stall TC. from 1500 it does a burn out with out breaking a sweat. It's going to be a project. first thing to fix is the speedo, than exhaust, than start on the body.

i started a thread in the electrical section, about my speedometer. if anyone wants to step over there and share there two cents about that.
