Not sure if i ever introduced myself, I'm an occasional lurker here, i normally reside on the Camino websites a little more, but with my car being newer and fitting into the G body platform, i feel a little more at home here than with the 60's and 70's Camino owners.

Anyways, long story short my car's been mine for the past year and a half or better. It's a father & son project, we've been figuring out problem after problem, and slowly knocking out things, The mechanical work is all complete as of now, But this summer begins the body work :twisted: I'm looking forward to it, my father however, says he's looking forward to ME doing a lot of the work. LOL. We'll see how bad i screw it up! But i'm learning, It's my first project car of many more to come for sure.

Just thought i'd share a bit, here's the car;

1981 Chevy El Camino
305ci block, TH350 trans, Stock Rear.

welcome! hope to see more pics as you go

YAY! there IS an el camino that looks worse off than mine...for now. welcome!

nah, it's a revamp of the original interior, it was White Exterior / Oxblood Red Interior. im changing it to a "Medium Blue" interior (from Duplicolor) and an undecided Dark/Metal Flake type blue for the exterior. I'm thinking the new Challenger color of Deep Ocean Blue. it's a nice dark color, which would look good on that camino. but im not sure if i can find the paint being sold in cans just yet.

soon to come is;
-Rear Suspension (Shocks/Springs/bushings?)
-Interior Carpet & Insulation.
-Replace the Red bench seat with my blue split bench.
-clean up engine bay wires & remove unneeded ones.
-fix minor flaws with dash, interior lighting & details.

the list goes on but those are my major points right now 🙂
