Well my cutlass is about 2 feet in the air right now with no suspension and no rear in it 😀
I stripped down and POR15'd the frame. I bead blasted the lower control arms and spindles at work and the rear control arms are next. Within the next week I'll have an entire MOOG front end kit (centerlink, TREs, Sleeves, Idler, Balljoints) on its way here along with tubular upper control arms, eibach springs, and new KYB shocks.
When I brought my cutlass home I noticed a slight click and delay in the steering. I figured it was a worn TRE and figured that the typical wear parts would remedy this. When I had everything dropped out of the front end sunday I put my hand on the pitman arm and could distinctly feel the "clicking" coming from either the pitman arm or the steering box when I turned it with the rest of the steering disconnected.
Now I've always been under the impression that the pitman arm can infact wear should it loosen and the splines open up. I'm just curious if perhaps its actually my steering box or if anyone has had their pitman arm give a similar issue.
