Hello, all. I recently purchased a 1986 Monte carlo ss and i'm trying to fix all of the half assed emission removal that was done to the car previous to me. The wiring harness has been removed. And when I say removed, all the wires were just cut i've been able to find the temperature gauge wire, but need help finding the wires for the oil pressure gauge. By the looks of it, i'm going to have to. Find the wires that go directly to the cluster panel and tap into those so if anyone has any idea of what color wire or where I can start tapping into would be great.

thanks

Oil pressure gauge sender wire will be tan. For the choke/oil pressure warning light it'll be green/white stripe for the light that goes to the C100 connector & two brown with one for the choke fuse that runs to the C100 connector & one that goes to the computer harness for the idle speed control, light blue that runs to the electric choke,

You really need this guy:

A GM service manual has so much info packed in it you'll go to it over and over. The wiring schematics alone are worth the price. Check ebay for used copies. I'm old school and want a dead tree book, but they have them on CD and PDF on USB. There's a company that bought the rights from GM and print new copies sealed. You'll pay anywhere from $60-$90 (shop and compare, prices are all over the place) but I promise it's money well spent.
