Olds script valve covers

What are these valve covers going for in good condition these days? This was a '73 only option correct?

$50 to $75 depending on how nice.
I picked up a decent set of chromed ones for $50, a set with a few dings just sold for $25 on ROP.

What years did they come on? I have asked this before and I never wrote it down?

IIRC 1973 was the only year they did the stamped scripted oldsmobile logo on the valve covers, I've seen them go anywhere from $50-$200, $200 being NOS of course. If you find them keep them, they are awfully sparce nowadays. I have a set in good condition and i may use them some day.

I did a set in chrome in the 80's,I went to the wreckers with a friend and we pulled 2 pairs off. There must have been 20 sets there so we went from engine to engine untill we had dent free covers with clean skript. They did not stamp them all the same as some had a cleaner deeper stamping.To bad I don't have them anymore. Thanks for the reply.
