My 86 Regal with a 307 has single exhaust that I am changing to 442 exhaust and the fasteners on the front of the catalytic converter are so rusted I can not tell if they are supposed to be bolts or studs and I don't want to cut them off if they are threaded in.

That is what I was wondering I cut one off with my cut off wheel and then thought if it is threaded in I am going to have to drill them out.
