There was a vendor at World of Wheels this weekend with an Oldsmobile serpentine setup for 455's, March Performance (marchperf.com) I imagine it can be adaped to fit small blocks:

still not a serpentine belt setup

Those have been out for a few years now. Pretty expensive at around $1200 and as said, not a true serpentine setup.

probably have been cheaper, if they just designed it as a serpentine setup lol ... less tensioners and really oddball bracketry ... all they need is to tell ya to buy the diesel waterpump for proper installation .... btw maybe with a multi-rib belt you can get away with less wrap-around but the p/s pulley looks quite "nerve racking" with as little contact as the belt seems to have.

Dick Miller has done the same thing for years. He sells a "serpentine" belt setup but it's not a true serpentine system. They are just using a wide multi-rib belt that is normally used on serpentine setups to replace the v-belts.

Really they are kind of a hybrid setup between a true serpentine belt setup and V-belts. They would be easier to change than V-belts since they have tensioning idler pulleys but I can't see paying the high dollars for that convenience.

Joe Vitek on ROP and Oldspower is working on a true serpentine setup using the 4.3L Olds diesel water pump.

Why do people want the serpentine belt set up? Is it for looks?

less drag- more efficient, easier on bearings, ease of maintence and the belt provides a surer grip
