Oldsmobile V8 Turbo Set-up?

No such luck. It would all need to be sourced separately and installed.

Funny, I was going to post a question similar to this today. Has anyone ever boosted a SBO V8? I think the factory cast iron exhaust manifolds would be great start. I was very familiar with boosting my Nissan 2.4L in my 240sx but boosting a stock, 1973, low compression, carb engine is all new for me.

There's been a few but the only one's I know of have been full on drag cars.

The Hunt brother's who run www.realoldspower.com have a SBO DX based twin turbo setup that is making in excess of 2000HP in their rail dragster. But they are using a modern EFI setup with alcohol.

I also remember seeing a Karmanghia I believe at the Olds Powered nationals with a turbo and carb setup years and years ago. If I remember correctly that weird thing about its setup was that they moved the carb to the inlet side of the turbo so that it wasn't actually under pressure.

You are going to have to go custom on that, for my build I am going with custom exhaust since I will be pushing lots of CFM.
Some have simply turned around stock manifolds.

Markd03 (who's recently been taken into Gods hands) did a couple of these builds on ROP:

215 Olds Jetfire Turbo setups were like that.

My thoughts exactly, turn around the factory manifolds towards the front of the car.

As I mentioned in another topic, check out Horsepowers project "sucker punch". The way they laid out their hot side can be applied to any engine. They basically did a crossover into a single pipe but it went to the front instead of the rear. Or you could flip the exhaust manifold and do a crossover in front of the engine. Sucker punch episodes are1,2 and 7 of the 2012 season.

I remember seeing a white 600 street HP, 79-81 Trans Am with a 403 and a blow through set up in the early 90's. It was made by HKS or Haltech I believe. Could be wrong, I know it was a Texas company and it was a long time ago.
