I saw this in my Youtube feed and thought it was awesome even though its a 5 year old video. I felt like you guys might appreciate it. What a sweet lady!

Best thing she says is at the end: "Many many people have told me, 'I had a 57 Chevy and I wish I had kept it.'
Well, why didn't they?"

Anyone here an original owner? Doesn't have to be a G body. Show us some then/now pics if you got em!

Cool story...cool lady. She's definitely from a rare breed of people that have held onto a vehicle from day one...and not only held onto it, but have driven it and maintained it all those years. I give her a lot of credit for that.
Thanks for posting the story, Luke.

That is a great video! They sure don't make them like that any longer... the car too. She speaks with a certain wisdom lost to time.

As far as "one owner" cars go; I believe our TBSS qualifies as it was a dealership demo (bought at auction and imported into Canada) and sold to us - but, this was just 10 years ago. If you are interested I will post pics; it has more miles than that '57 but you would never guess it, and it has been well modded.

Alright then... you asked for it.

The tiny pic is straight from the ad as found on Kijiji (the Canadian Craigslist). It was stock right down to the GM "Chiclets" on the doors, excluding tinted front windows, a Flowmaster 40-series, and a drop-in K&N.

It was completely refreshed (paint and mechanicals) between August 2015 and April 2016. Now it has 165K miles, a D1SC Procharger, and it'll run 11.9 @ 116mph; it also finished Drag Week 2016. The picture under plastic is how it currently sits with a pooched RPM Transmissions' 4L70E (what junk). Full specs are quoted below.

That's very nice, Mike.
It's got a sinister, monochromatic, bad to the bone appearance. It looks like it hauls *ss, too.
Thanks for sharing the pics and details.

I also like the video of the 90 yr old woman down in Florida, who also is an original owner. She bought her '64 Comet Caliente brand new and know the car inside and out.

No problem, Jack; glad to. Trying to get away from the played out "murdered out" look - hence all of the bright work going back on.

When you have 5100lbs doing a 1.6 second 60' it is a little disorienting.
